"Rapunzel" by Ben Crocker (6-10 Dec 2022)
Poster
Welcome to the spectacle that is St Michael’s Players’ world-famous pantomime. This is where we forget our parallel lives “out there” and transition to Chiswickian life. It is, quite literally, time to let our hair down.
This year’s extravaganza is “Rapunzel”, another ripping yarn by Ben Crocker making it the ninth of his pantomimes we’ve presented and the eight I’ve had the pleasure of directing. As director, I must express my heartfelt thanks to our amazing cast, band and backstage crew whose extraordinary love, commitment and plain old hard-work allow us to stage these incredible shows. What a totally committed group of volunteers can achieve in eight weeks never fails to amaze me and strands of fun, joy and happiness run throughout the show. That said, what happens on stage is only half of the story and the true pantomime magic happens when the show meets our glorious Chiswickian audience (that’s you). We are forever appreciative that so many of you keep returning and bringing these shows to life. Thank you for making this possible. We’re ready – are you? |
